How can I change or cancel my standing order?

To change your standing order, you’ll need to contact your bank. If you’re not sure how your standing order needs to change, get in touch and we’ll help.

To cancel your standing order, you can either phone your bank or fill in our ‘Standing order cancellation’ form and post it to them.

If you think you’ve made a payment by mistake, check your bank statements or get in touch with your bank. If there’s been a mistake, get in touch and we’ll refund you.

Have you thought about setting up a direct debit instead?

Setting up a direct debit makes it easier to change or cancel payments.

  • If anything changes – such as how much you need to pay or when you need to pay it – you’ll get 10 working days’ notice before any money leaves your account.
  • If any money leaves your account by mistake, you’ll get a full refund immediately.
  • To cancel a direct debit, all you need to do is call your bank.
