What are you doing to keep my identity safe?
To keep you safe from identity theft and fraud, we sometimes need to check that you’re who you say you are. This is part of anti-money laundering legislation.
We might need to check that you’re who you say you are before we can pay you, if we think your details have changed, or if we’ve lost contact with you.
We’ll always try to confirm your identity without troubling you. But if we can’t, we might need to ask you to send us some identification, such as your driving licence or passport. You can read this leaflet to learn more about the documents we might need, or this leaflet if you don’t live in the UK.
We’ve written a short Q&A with more information about how we’re keeping your identity safe.
If you’ve got any questions, get in touch and we’ll explain.
