Brexit and your policy with us

Will Brexit affect my benefits or how you pay me?

If you bought your policy in the UK, are currently living in the UK and will continue to do so, your benefits and options will not be affected by Brexit. We do not expect any changes to how we pay you.

If you bought your policy in Ireland, Malta or bought it in the UK and then moved to the European Economic Area, we will continue to provide the same services to you as we do now. If we find that we do need to make any changes to your policy, or our services, we will contact you to explain your options.

Will Brexit affect my investments?

We will continue to manage your investments as before. We cannot predict whether Brexit will have a long-term impact on financial markets and how your investment performs.

Before making any decisions about your policies, you should consider speaking to a financial adviser.  You can find an adviser near you at unbiased.co.uk.

Will Brexit affect the tax treatment of my policy?

If you bought your policy in the UK, are currently living in the UK and will continue to do so, the tax treatment of your policy should not change as a result of Brexit.

If you bought your policy in Ireland, Malta or bought it in the UK and then moved to the European Economic Area and are concerned about the potential impact of Brexit on the tax treatment of your policy, we recommend you seek specialist tax advice.
